       Dr New was an invited speaker at Singapore Scientific Conference 2025.

       Dr New served as Emcee for Malam Kimia 2025.

       Dr New published an article in Chemistry International.

• Nov 2025

       Dr New gave a poster presentation and introduced TYAN during AACR on Campus-           Malaysia, Kuching. 

• May - Nov 2025

       Working with a wonderful team within the School and UNM, Dr New introduced          nanoscience activities to students from SJKC Batu 14 Hulu Langat, Sathya Sai Primary School, SJKT Sungai Renggam, and SJKT Ladang North Hummock (Setia Alam). These activities were also showcased at Madani Rakyat 2025 (Dataran Nilai) and BioStemQuest at UNM.

• Sep 2025

       Dr New coordinated the university-level implementation of the Internet Safety Campaign, a national initiative led by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)

       Jessica's paper has been published in Langmuir.

       Dr New chaired the IUPAC thematic session on SDG5: Gender Equality with Professor Mei-Hung Chiu

• Apr 2025

       Dr New has been awarded Teaching Excellence Award (Excellence in Teaching and Learning).

       Jessica's and Zheng Wei's paper has been published in Discover Chemistry.​

       Dr New and Dr Jaya Kumar had organized a Nanokit outreach in SMK Cheras Jaya and SMKA Dato' Haji Abu Hassan Haji Sail Tahfiz Model Ulul Albab.
